Wellington's Beehive
      of Government
Capital of New Zealand
Completed in 1980 the Beehive unites modern art with New
Zealand's government.  All the other governmental buildings
in the capital look quite drab by comparison.
From this angle the Beehive seems at home in a jungle
environment.  I never even thought about photographing any
other governmental building.
The Beehive is ready for its close-up.  As with every unusual
building, this design was controversial.  But now the Beehive
has become a symbol of Wellington.
