Sea Lion Pups & Pelicans
On Rabida Island
The sea lion pups on Rabida Island were amazingly cute.
The pups were clearly helpless, but I
never saw any potential predators.
I invited these sea lions to visit me in the San Francisco
Bay Area. We have a pier taken over by their
relatives. That invitation is in the video. You will see
more stills on later pages where I appear with other
cooperative species from the Galapagos.
Nesting pelicans were also residing on Rabida Island.
This awkward looking baby pelican gave no hint
of the graceful creature it will become.
