Brown Lemurs and
Other Wildlife
Berenty Reserve, Madagascar
If you have a high speed internet connection,
watch the Intrepid Berkeley Explorer's complete,
free video of this trip, "Dancing With the Lemurs",
by clicking on:
Brown Lemurs do quite well at Berenty, while not getting
tourist attention focused on Dancing Lemurs and Ring-tails.
Here a group of Browns make a feast out of food left
for a Madagascar Tortoise species.
They remain alert for opportunities.
Rare captive and wild tortoises here, no match for the Browns.
I believe that's a Gecko on the left, part of a huge Fruit-Eating
Bat colony on the right.  The bats make a terrible racket,
winning my award for the noisiest wild creatures.

We now leave Berenty plus the wildlife portion of this trip.
Coming up are the people of Madagascar and great scenery.
