Catalonia, Spain
The still unfinished La Sagrada Familia Basilica,
designed by Antoni Gaudi, with work started in
1882.  The church
MAY be completed in 2026, a
century after Gaudi died.  It took less time to build
the 3 Pyramids of Giza in Egypt.  This is Spain's
most popular monument, visited by over 4.5 million
people each year.  This picture shows relatively
new towers.
With bull fighting banned in the region, Barcelona's
former bullring was converted into a modern
shopping center.
At the front are much older and darker church
towers.  Light or dark colors indicate
whether segments were added somewhat
recently or much further back in time.
Barcelona was a Roman city.  The Romans left
behind this graveyard, which was uncovered
well below current street level.
