Kauai's Fern Grotto
and Wailua Falls
Kauai is called the Garden Island for good reasons. It's
a lush green scenic landscape, starting with the Wailua
River above. This is the only river in Hawaii suitable for
boats, and they take visitors to Fern Grotto.
Fern Grotto is a Kauai signature site. Few
tourists miss it. The ferns photograph well.
Above the frame is filled with ferns.
My best Fern Grotto close-up.
Wailua means "two waters", as demonstrated by
another Kauai landmark, Wailua Falls.
A wider angle of the twin falls.
