Copenhagen's Little Mermaid
Nearly 100 years old, this statue has become Copenhagen's
symbol, and a must-see tourist stop. The Little Mermaid's
tail is quite visible in the above photo.
Hans Christian Anderson, Denmark's beloved author of fairy
tales, wrote the Little Mermaid. Anderson lived in a house on
Copenhagen's Nyhavn Canal for 20 years.
Difficult to notice the Little Mermaid's tail from this angle.
