Alberobello and the Trulli
Italy is well known for its regional differences. In
southern Italy, Alberobello is famous as the center
for trulli, rounded houses with conical roofs found
nowhere else. I really liked the trulli.
Religious and astrological symbols are often
painted on truli, helping them stand out even more
from conventional houses.
It's trulli a neighborhood, and ordinary people still live
here. Some trulli double as souvenir shops, selling little
figures of this unique design to tourists. I bought one.
This was my third trip to Italy, but the first view of
trulli. They left a very positive impression.
